Joe was on the Shelf. With my heart!

I settled for Nick, because Sarah wouldn't get Joe down.  :(
But let's face it- ANYONE with good sense would settle for this little hottie.

Yah, that's right.  Just ran into him at Partyland while shopping for pirate costume stuffs.

You a pirate- what you got that eye patch on for?

Last Friday was my fabulous best friend Sarah's birthday.  She's the hottie in the middle.  Anyway, She and Kinz and I thought it would be fun to hit up Pirate Island Pizza- costumed, of course!  There is no dress up requirement, but we are just cool like that.  Sarah and I hit up Partyland for eye patches and tattoos, then we chilled with some Diet Coke (what else!?) and put finishing touches on our costumes.

We are so clever!  Instead of using the sticky glue to make the sparkles stick
we used metallic silver and pink nail polish.

Voila!

Birthday Girl ATTACK!

It was a jolly good time.  Pirate Island has GREAT pizza.  I should of taken a picture of the one we ordered- The Kraken.  Straight from the menu:  "Fer the bravest of sea dogs! We be talkin ‘bout 24 inches of swag filled bliss! Takes a mighty crew to finish ‘er off! (Best allow extra cookin’ time whilst we summon this beast from th’ depths."  It was insanely delicious, and you better believe we nearly finished THEM (because we got two!) off!

So not only is the menu in Pirate speak, but the staff is in character the entire time (although our server broke character a few times, taken aback I am sure by our buxom wench-ness), and the entire restaurant is decorated with cool stuff like this guy hanging from the ceiling...

And this guy right inside the entrance to greet brave sea-goers...

My friend Christian, who I think will be turning 6 this year, is going to have his birthday here in November.  I will get more pictures then!  If you get a chance visit a Pirate Island!  Right now they are up and down the Wasatch Front, but one is coming to Flagstaff, Ariz. soon!  Dress up too!  It makes it an even more involved experience!

G'Day Mateys!

It's OCTOBER...therefore I blahhhhhh-g!!

Yay!  Yay!  YAY!
Time for tricks and time for treats- time for eating too many sweets.  Time to dress up in disguise and see the fright in people's eyes.  Time to let imagination grow and let the magic take its toll.  Its time!  Its time for Halloween!  Let's all watch Brittany giggle and scream!

Here are a few of my favorite things about
Halloween/autumn time:

1.  Visiting Robert's with my mom to see all the new Halloween decor!

2.  The idea of "magic" in the air.
3.  Being a kid... as if I'm not always.
4.  Crisp air.
5.  The little marshmallows in hot cocoa.
6.  Caramel Apple Cider from Starbucks.

7.  Raking leaves then jumping in them!
8.  Indian Summers.
9.  "It's Halloween!" By Jack Prelutsky
10.  Boo Berry and Count Chocula cereals.
11.  Carving pumpkins!
12.  Baking pumpkin seeds then eating them.

13.  Answering the door during Trick Or Treat.
14.  Scary movies
15.  Martha Stewart's "Living" Halloween Issue.
16.  Cuddling up in cozy sweats, a blanket, & my "Pink" mukluks
...a man would be nice here too

17.  Seeing the first sign of snowboard season
on the tippy-top of Timp.
18.  Seasonal Hershey's Kisses.
19.  Pumpkin Candy Corns!
20.  My blue zebra stripe boots.

I like tall, dark, and handsome... Skinny jeans and swimmers.
