Are you hurted Wendy??

This cute line from Disney's Peter Pan makes me all teary eyed!  First of all because I am "hurted" and I am SO tired of it.  Second- because its what I always say to my big sissy and bestest friend Sarah Marianne when she is "hurted" and blue.

I am SO glad this is the last day of September and I really hope October treats me with more respect.  Ha ha.  I just wanted to write quickly and let my Sarah and mommy know how grateful I am for them.  Even when Sarah is abroad on a fabulous adventure she is only an "accept call" away on Skype, to make me laugh and feel comforted.

My mommy is kind enough to let me, her 26 year old daughter live in her basement while I struggle to graduate from college, work 3 jobs, and have some semblance of a social life.  She is also willing to get in her car and drive less then a block away to pick me up from my car because I am passing out and can no longer drive.

I want everybody to understand this- my mom does NOT "mommy" me.  I've never been spoiled and I've always been told, "you're capable- get up and do it!"  When I was younger (and still sometimes now :D ) I would rather refuse then do, or use my powers of communication to get a sibling to do whatever, for me.  My Sarah still will- eyes rolling the whole time.  Ha ha!

...But this is why I love them!!
They are always there for me when I really DO need them,
when I'm not able to do it on my own anymore.

Thinking along those lines, my entire family is like that.  We may not be in constant contact, but when it really matters we are there for each other.  I love it when we all finally come back together and it is like we never were apart.  My family in Arizona now is facing a hard trial right now, it puts everything this hellish month has put me through to shame. Hopefully I will get good health and sanity on my side soon enough that I can pay a visit.
I hope they know how much I love them and pray for them

Thanks mommy, Sarah, and all you Southern Utah, Arizona, Washington,
S.Carolina, and New Mexico members of my family just for being one giant support net.

I love you!

My life is nUtS! Therefore I get around to blahhhhhhh-ging, eventually.

SEPTEMBER HAS SUCKED!!! There is no nice way of saying it, I am sorry September. You have been terrible and horrible to me and I cannot wait for you to be o-v-e-r so that I can move on to my beloved October. Ahhhh Halloween. I heart you.

Anybody wanna hear all the crap that's gone down? Okay! I shall tell you-
I suppose it is funny to think back on, but in the moment (and believe me I am still in the moment) its not so funny. My life has been so consumed with work and school that after work on Friday my bestie Sarah and I went to JCW's for a refreshing 44oz. Diet Coke and a LARGE ice cream cone for .99! I also went for the cheesy fries... yummmm. Comfort food. ANYWAY Sarah and I are sitting there at the table and she goes, "We should take a break. Road Trip down to St. George or Arizona." I looked at her, it was silent for a minute, and then both of us broke down in hysterical laughter. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. HA.

Here is my list of all the other wrong-doings September has done to me:
1. When did I get so clumsy? In September I dropped my brand-new touch screen cell phone (pictured below) and now it has a HUGE crack in the glass. Nope, I didn't get the insurance because "stuff like that never happens to me!"

2. The same day in September that I dropped my phone I left my freakin' expensive textbooks, all of my notes AND MY DIET COKE (!!!) on top of my car and drove off. I never do that. Someone honked at me and as I looked back to see why I saw all of my notes and books flying down one of the busiest roads on campus. Luckily some kind gents helped me as my pathetic self stopped traffic and scrambled to pick them up. They now have tire tracks on them. I did save my Diet Coke too- and as I opened it to take that comforting swig it spewed ALL over me.

3. In September I being working with Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest. On this particular day I was driving down the Highland Highway when I came to a complete stop at a light. I think I was reaching down to grab something when suddenly my car rolls forward and bumps the giant truck in front of me. WHAT!? I was stopped. Apparently I am unable to reach down and keep my foot on the brake too. Needless to say their truck was fine, and my little Suki isn't so bad. Her hood is sort of bent in and the grill is pretty much cracked, and the guys that I bumped were so nice. Nice and MARRIED. Sigh. Pictured below is what my cute little starter car use to look like.

4. On that same day in September, that I bumped the truck on my way to set up at Cornbelly's I was checking light bulbs for our AMAZING pumpkin tree. I got too close to the metal part as I was tightening one and oh yes, I was electrocuted! A few seconds after I chucked the light bulb at Sarah I noticed that my elbow was hurting. Odd. THERE WAS AN EXIT WOUND! It is still on my elbow but I am assuming a picture of the scab would not interest you.

5. Worst of all in September my mother acknowledged my recent bad luck by forcing me to take the pretty Pumpkin Princess Wands I made to sell at Cornbelly's, to a staff meeting to show our owners in one of those 44oz. gas station cups that I collect in the back seat of my car. :( She was afraid I may drop the pretty glass vase I wanted to present them in. Really mom? I didn't step on a crack and break your back... yet.  I apologize for the picture, I took it with my cracked cell phone.

Suddenly Sad... therefore I blahhhhhh-g.

I've noticed lately that taking retro looking photos is trending higher and higher.  And I like it!  I love looking at the pictures.  Oohing and ahhing over how cute the couple in the photo is, the different techniques that were used, the locations shot at... I even find myself driving by placing and taking a mental note for someday. . .

Another one of my ADORABLE (and younger) friends is engaged.  Sigh.  I just finished looking at her adorable photos.  I am feeling sorry for myself.  It probably doesn't help that it is after midnight and I just finished watching X-Men Origins (thank you Roo) which of course doesn't end happy.  Super Hero flicks NEVER end happy.  I mean can't Clark and Lois finally just hook-up without any repercussions?  Why does Wolverine have to get shot in the head right after he forgives Kayla??  She dies anyway, but still!!  Perhaps that is why I LOVED "500 Days Of Summer" so much.  The narrator tells the viewer right from the get go that it is not a love story, and as much as it is, it really isn't!  It is a freakin' depiction of real life!  Ya it sucks-  half the time you date someone and "fall in love" with them and it doesn't work out!  Then the other half of the dates you go on never get past the first one.  If you are lucky like Momma Goose however, you kiss the first toad that hops along and he turns into your prince.

I guess this is why I envy the girls in the cute photos.  I don't just want to take cute pictures of me and my boo (ha ha ha) holding hands while walking down a dirt road into the sunset- I want what I can see in the eyes of those in the pictures.  I don't know why I am longing for it now- as if my life isn't busy enough!  I just do.  Dating sucks, not dating sucks!  Will someone please just take me on a date?

Okay, bedtime!  I will wake up tomorrow resolved to go on single if I must.  Sigh.  Or I suppose I could hold out for all the hormonally-charged 17 year old's that don't seem at all scared to tell me how beautiful I look.  Ga-ROSS!

Peace out y'all!

Bored, therefore I blog.

I am bored. Its sort of pathetic when on the days I actually don't have to work I would rather be working. I need an occupation for my off-time! There is no snow in the mountains so I am unable to board, and I was so worried about falling behind on my homework when Cornbelly's starts that I actually got ahead. So! Excuses they may be, but these are my reasons for re-visiting my blahhhhhhhhhh-g.

I call it my blahhhhhhhhh-g because I was forced by my evil/totally awesome Internship Advisor/Public Relations and Society Instructor to start one last year. If you read earlier posts you'll probably be like, "What!?? I don't get it- what is she talking about?" Well, I was responding to class discussions for a grade. Grade given? A! WHAT-WHAT!! Once the semester was over I was so donezo! But I guess Twitter and Facebook can only give one so much satisfaction. I will now re-visit my blahhhhhhh-g regulary to give you all updates on my blahhhhhh life. I don't have a handsome husband, cute kids, or even an adorable boyfriend to be all precious and bloggy about so bear with me!

Twitter, bringing us peons closer to. . . uh. . . not peons? Ha ha
.

Early this week, though life was rather blah I got personal Tweets from my Christopher Carrabba!?? Lead singer and totally swooney/handsome front-man from Dashboard Confessional? Yes-yes! I did. Well that made an already perky blonde even perkier!

The "Tweets" went something like this:
Chris: PS releasing demos is sort of embarrassing because they are never meant for you to hear.
Me: Ah! But we love and appreciate you for your art.
Chris: (DIRECT TO ME) Thanks!

GIDDY!!!

Chris: In the airport drinking wine from a red plastic cup.
Me: Heaven is Here.
Chris: (DIRECT TO ME) I know that tune!

GIDDY MORE!!!

These tweets will never be deleted from my phone. They are copied to my memory card and locked. I love you Christopher Carrabba(isn't he dreamy??). New Dashboard album out November 10th!
